Veteran's Day

Today we celebrated Veteran's Day. We had a short speech from the Commanding General out here. He observed that we are here not for personal gain, but rather as a down payment on the future for our children and later generations. The struggle in which we find ourselves engaged in Afghanistan and Iraq is comparable to what our fathers and Grandfathers faced in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Our actions today will set the tone for the future.
Kinda made me feel good about things. See ya at the local VFW.

If I'd have known thre was such a cool job for a shoe, I'd have considered staying in...:)

Seriously, thanks for standing the watch. When you get back to Tampa, I'll gladly buy you dinner...
